Girl meets boy, girl falls in love with boy. Love at first sight.
They live happily ever after.
Maybe I don't want a happily ever after.
How about a different story?
It would be longer, more tragic.
But how about a different story?
Girl meets boy.
Girl and boy feel a mutual attraction, both too shy to act on it.
Girl and boy talk for hours and really click.
Girl and boy become the best of friends, they spend every moment with each other.
They grow older together, have relationships with others.
Girl and boy suffer heartbreaks and hardships.
They are always there for each other.
Boy finds someone he feels is the one, girl smiles for him.
Girl feels odd.
Why does this bother her?
Boy marries his special someone, girl attends there wedding.
Boy moves away with his new bride, girl feels empty.
girl realizes she loved boy.
Years pass, girl and boy talk sparingly.
They have different lives now.
Girl gets a call, boy found special someone in bed with another.
They are going to divorce.
Girl feels...what?
Not happiness as she would expect, she too is upset.
Why?
Boy moves back to hometown, girl helps him deal.
Girl and boy are back to the old ways.
Boy realizes he loves girl.
Girl and boy date for a few years.
They get married.
Girl and boy don't live happily ever after.
They quarrel often.
Girl suffers from a miscarriage.
Boy loses his job.
Why would I want this?
This life of uncertainty. hurt?
Who would want the broken story of girl and boy for their own?
Maybe happiness comes from despair.
Maybe life can only be so wonderful because it was once so miserable.
Maybe the girl felt the boy's sadness because she knew what it was to TRULY love him.
Perhaps I could finish the story, tell you that boy found a job, and girl got over her tragedy.
If I said things were repaired, would that make it better?
Girl and boy loved each other always, even through the hardships.
Perhaps the fairytale life is just that, a fairytale.
Perhaps the cliche of girl meets boy isn't what it's cracked up to be.
They live happily ever after.
